THE Carmarthenshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Welsh Public Speaking Competition was held on Saturday (Jan 26) at Nantaredig Primary School.
There was a fierce competition in four different sections with a large number of the County Clubs competing.
A spokesperson for Siarad Cyhoeddus Cymraeg said: “Thank you very much to Nantgaredig Primary School for letting us use the School, thank you also to the stewards for ensuring that the day ran smoothly.
“We are also very grateful to all the coaches and trainers for giving their time to train the members. Thank you also to all the judges for their great work during the day.”
Mrs Enfys Evans had the task of judging 8 teams in the reading competition under 14. These are the results:

In the Junior Section for members under 16, Mrs Enfys Hatcher Davies had the task of judging, with 10 teams competing in a high-quality competition. The results are:

Mr Hefin Jones was in charge of judging the Intermediates. 8 teams were in the competition and these are the results:

There was a very good competition in this competition between 6 very strong teams. Mr Wyn Thomas had the task of judging and these are the results:

Carmarthenshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs will hold their Entertainment Competition on the 25th of February to the 27th of February 2019 at Gwendraeth Hall, Drefach.
On Monday the 25th, St Ishmaels, Dyffryn Cothi, Llangadog and Penybont will be performing in Welsh.
On Tuesday the 26th, Llandovery will be performing in English and Dyffryn Tywi and Llanddarog will be performing in Welsh.
Llanfynydd, Capel Iwan, St Peters and Llanllwni will be performing in Welsh and will be closing the competition on Wednesday the 27th.
All three nights will start at 7pm and price of admission is £6 or £15 for a Week Ticket.
