Burry Port RFC Ladies (The Lady Blacks) may have had the Mammas and Pappas song (California Dreamin) playing in the changing room before what set out to be a walk in the park on this winter’s day Sunday (Nov 5) where all the leaves were brown and the reds and the gold of Croesyceiliog were met along the way by an in form team who ran rampant over them.
The Burry Port ladies have the pedigree of being last year’s WRU Bowl winners and on this form they look set to clean up wherever they go this season.
Having followed the ladies last year from humble beginnings to cup holders it is clear to see that it will take a strong team to beat them home or away. Croesyceiliog may have heard Marvin Gaye’s song ‘What’s Going On’ ringing in their ears but they can take heart and know that like all great teams they have to start somewhere.
