Hywel Dda University Health Board invites the public to a virtual event that will provide an update on the Phase Two redevelopment plans for women and children’s services at Glangwili Hospital.
Hywel Dda UHB is hosting an online question and answer session on their Facebook channel, on Tuesday 2 May from 6pm-7.30pm, on the plans for the Carmarthen hospital.
Hosted by Steve Moore Chief Executive, with attendance from clinical, management and estates staff, the evening will be dedicated to sharing and discussing the current plans for the redevelopment of SCBU (Special Care Baby Unit), labour ward and maternity theatres.
It is the latest part of engagement on the Phase Two project, which thus far has involved a great deal of input from staff groups, as well as use of graffiti boards in ward locations to get patient and family views.
Other events have been held, specifically to scope views on the Glangwili Phase Two plans, including meetings with special interest groups such as baby and toddler groups in each county, bereavement support groups and sensory impairment and disability groups.
Schedules of accommodation and engagement comments so far are available to view at the website (see link below).
Steve Moore said: “We hope you will be able to join us to share your views, especially if you are someone who has recently given birth, or the partner of someone who has recently given birth. We are going to be sharing the drawings and we really want to hear from you about whether we have got them right and other things we ought to think about.”
