Two properties damaged by fire at Dafen

THE emergency services have been attending a fire, which broke out in Dafen today, Thursday (Jul 18).

At least two properties have been affected by the fire.

County Councillor Rob Evans posted: “Dafen Maescanner Road two property fire, fire service and police in total control and Ambulance Service. No reports of casualties.”

Cllr Evans who was at the scene of the fire told Llanelli Online that he was there supporting the fire service in coordinating with the council on road closures.
He said: “I was at the scene at 2.15. The call went out at a few minutes past 2.

“Both the local chip shop and the Bush Inn public house were affected.

“I believe the fire started at the chip shop. I have checked on the business owners and residents. I am relieved that no one was hurt and extremely grateful to the emergency services for the way in which they dealt with the fire.”
