UPDATE: Emergency services have dealt with the incident allowing the lines to be open between Llanelli and Carmarthen.
A normal service is expected to resume by 9pm this evening.
ALL train lines have been blocked for services between Carmarthen and Llanelli due to a person being hit by a train.
The incident occurred at a level crossing between Kidwelly and Pembrey/Burry Port.
Disruption is expected until 8pm this evening.
An update from Aviva Trains Wales said: “Train services running to and from these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 120 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until 20:00 07/05.
“Emergency services and rail staff are en-route to the incident area. No timescale is yet available for trains to be able to resume running.
“Emergency road transport is being sourced, but no estimate of capacity or a time to commence running can yet be given. A further update will be made here by 17:40.”
