Temporary changes to access at Amman Valley Hospital

Patients and visitors to Amman Valley Hospital are being advised of temporary changes to the way they access the hospital site while improvement works are carried out.

The main entrance to the hospital will be temporarily closed from 7.30am to 5.30pm on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June 2017. This is to allow improvements to the site’s main access road.

During this period, patients, visitors and staff can access the hospital site via Tirycoed Lane. Access to the hospital via the main entrance will be possible after 5.30pm on Saturday 17 June, and all essential work is expected to be completed by 5.30pm the following day.

In April the hospital accommodated 16 new car parking spaces courtesy of a generous donation from Amman Valley Hospital’s League of Friends. The latest works form part of a wider move to improve the main driveway.

Gareth Skye, Transport and Sustainable Travel Manager at Hywel Dda, said: “We would like to thank patients, visitors and our own staff for their patience while these essential works are carried out.”
