Sun, sand and steam stokes interest at Pembrey Country Park

STEAM was the order of the day at Pembrey Country Park on Saturday (Aug 17) as the annual steam gala took place.

There were plenty of steam engines on display and plenty of men and women in sheds paying acute attention to detail in getting their trains onto the tracks for all to see.

There were rides on offer as young and old alike took advantage of the glorious sunshine at this blue flag awarded tourist destination.

People had travelled far and wide to take part in the rally with some staying for the long weekend.

Organisers said that they were hoping that the warm weather would continue and that more visitors would visit the gala.
