Six men arrested on suspicion of kidnapping

SIX men have been arrested on suspicion of kidnap following an incident in Llanelli yesterday afternoon.

Chief Inspector Chris Neve said: “At approximately 1.30pm on Saturday, November 14, we received reports from members of the public of a suspected kidnapping in Station Road, Llanelli.

“An urgent investigation was commenced which led to a vehicle being stopped by our Roads Policing Units in the Trostre area, and the arrest of six men from within the vehicle.

“I can confirm that all six remain in police custody. We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident at this time.

“A man identified as the possible victim is safe and well.

“Whilst I understand that the public may be concerned by this incident, I would like to reassure the community of Llanelli that this incident is isolated to the individuals involved and there is no risk to anyone else at this time.
