Keep Wales Tidy is running the ‘Be Tidy’ month throughout September. As part of this campaign, there will be a large scale cleanup event held on Saturday, (Sep 30) in Llanelli to focus on areas around Coedcae, Penyfan and Bigyn.
Organiser Dan Snaith said: “We hope to get as many people involved as we can, and hope that local politicians, councillors, businesses and residents will show their support.
“The cleanup will start at 10am at the rear entrance to Coedcae school.
“Tools and equipment will be available, but if you have your own litter picking equipment, please do bring it along as we only have a limited supply, and this may run out quickly if there is a large turnout. Also please bring along gloves and hi vis if you have it. Sturdy footwear is recommended.
“All are welcome, but children MUST be supervised be a responsible adult, and kept away from road sides at all times.
“If you fancy joining in, then please let us know beforehand so we can get an idea of how many people will be attending.
“I would also appreciate it if you could share this around your friends, family and colleagues who you think may be interested.”
