Lee Waters AM/AC has said that Wales needs to find a solution to the crisis in GP services across Wales. Speaking to Llanelli Online the AM said: “This has come out of the blue. There are changes in rules regarding the Inland Revenue. One of the things people don’t realise is that doctors are self employed. Especially doctors on the out of hours shift. They prefer to invoice for their services. The Inland Revenue have seen this as a tax loophole and they have decided to tighten up on it. They have not thought about the knock on implications for the health service.”
