The day after Remembrance Day 2017 a Burry Port veteran lost his regimental beret and badge.
The items were naturally very precious to Mr Day and he passed on his feelings to Nicola at Sewards Fruit and Veg of Burry Port.
Nicola turned to County Councillor Amanda Fox and following an appeal on Facebook and more help from County Councillor Gary Jones details of Mr Day’s regiment were taken along with Mr Day’s head measurements.
Fast forward to January 4th and Mr Day has been reunited with a replica beret and badge. You can watch our short film here:
