At 19 Rory Daniels the Welsh Lib Dem candidate for Llanelli was the youngest member on the panel at the Llanelli Chamber of Trade and Commerce hustings held at the Best Western Diplomat Hotel on Thursday (Jun 1). Rory claims that the young are not being represented and he is ready to do so should he be elected as the MP for Llanelli. He is in favour of remaining in the European single market.
The European single market is the most ambitious part of the whole “European project”. It aims to break down all barriers to trading across the 500 million-person area by ensuring the “four freedoms”, sacrosanct to Brussels policymakers: free movement of goods, services, capital and — most controversially — labour.
Rory firmly believes that the people should have the say when it comes to local, national and international issues, which affect them. Llanelli Online caught up with Rory at the hotel and this is what he had to say:
