LLANELLI Town AFC (the Reds) went a step further towards taking the title and promotion to Welsh Premier with a fine win over Goytre last Friday.
Goals from Lee Trundle and Liam Samuel secured a 2 nil win and cemented their place at the top of Welsh League Division One.
The Reds are now 3 points clear on Penybont with 5 games in hand.
Their nearest rivals are Haverfordwest who are 6 points behind with a game in hand. The Pembrokeshire side visit Stebonheath on Tuesday (Mar 27).
There is another important game to be played on March 24th as the Reds take on Cwmbran Celtic in another home game at Stebonheath.
Off the pitch work is still going on to secure the application for promotion to the Welsh Premier League and to meet the deadline of March 31st for all criteria.
The club still struggling for sponsorship and investment to take club to next leve but are optimistic that someone will come forward.
