THE West Wales Raiders continue to fight after falling to a 20 – 82 defeat against Newcastle Thunder at Stebonheath Park on Sunday (June 3).
It was a positive start to the game for the Raiders, going 10 points ahead in the early stages. However the Thunder took control soon afterwards to rack up the one-sided victory.
Lewis Young scored a hat-trick for the visitors, who are placed 9th in the Betfred League 1 table, whilst the Raiders sit at the bottom having yet to win a game from their first 10.
This Saturday (June 9) the Raiders will welcome Hemel Stags to Llanelli, the Stags are also yet to win a match this season. This will be seen as a good opportunity for the Raiders to claim their first victory of the season and to build some momentum. Kick off is at 3pm.
