The folks at Radio BGM in Prince Phillip Hospital are looking for volunteers to help keep the service going. Dave Hurford who looks after the volunteers said that he was looking for people to do all sorts of jobs within the team from gathering requests from patients to producing a show.
The service provides music and news for patients and visitors to the hospital. Speaking about the importance of the service Dave said, “This is a very localised provision, A lot of volunteers go on to take up work in the media industry. It is a great starting point for young people but it is also a great place for people of all ages who might just like to get involved in any number of aspects of the service we provide.” Anyone wishing to find out more can contact the team at www.radiobgm.org.uk
