Police are appealing for information after a cat died due to injuries sustained from being shot by an air rifle.
The incident is said to have happened in the area of Stanley Street in town.
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “A four-year-old tabby cat was shot in the spinal cord after wandering off from the Stanley Street area between Saturday, August 12 and Monday, August 14.
The cat has since sadly died. Anyone with any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact PC Harries at Llanelli Police Station on 101.”
