Police have attended an incident at Llanelli’s Box Cemetery. At least six police vehicles were seen at the cemetery earlier today, Thursday (Nov 9). The incident is believed to have started at around 10am and concluded at around 11am. Gates at the cemetery had been locked while police dealt with the incident. A male was taken into custody.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokeswoman said: “Police attended Box Cemetery, Swansea Road, Llanelli early this morning following a report that someone was using an air rifle in the area.
The cemetery was closed for public safety. No-one was injured during the incident.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and he currently remains in police custody.
Two air rifles have been recovered.”
