Police appeal for information relating to Caldey Island abuse

Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed that the investigation into non-recent sexual abuse at Caldey Island is ongoing. They are asking anyone with any information relating to the investigation to contact them.

Temp. Detective Superintendent Ross Evans, Dyfed-Powys Police, said: “The investigation in to allegations of non-recent sexual abuse at Caldey Abbey is ongoing. Detectives have today (Tuesday 28 Nov) met with Pembrokeshire County Council and Caldey Abbey representatives to discuss the Abbey’s safeguarding practices. We will continue working with Caldey Abbey to strengthen their arrangements.”

“We urge anyone with information to speak to the investigation team by calling 101, quoting Operation Slate.”
