Police appeal following assault in Penyfan Road

Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses to an assault, which is reported to have taken place in Penyfan, Llanelli.

A man has reported being assaulted in Penyfan Road sometime between 4.30pm and 5pm on December 30.

Both the victim and suspect are described as being in their mid-twenties, white skinned, of stocky build, average height and have short brown hair.

The victim might have been seen running from the Bond Avenue direction while being chased by the suspect, with the assault taking place on the edge of the quarry adjacent to Penyfan Road.

The suspect is believed to have been driving a red Ford transit tipper vehicle, which then left the area.

Officers would like to speak with anybody who might have seen the vehicle and its occupants, or who might have dash cam footage. It is believed to have driven from Penyfan along Heol Elli to the Steboneath area before entering Penallt Terrace and turning onto Frondeg Terrace before coming to a stop near Halfway.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Llanelli Joint Investigation Unit on 101.
