Pivac says Scarlets errors are ‘fixable’ ahead of Dragons game

FOLLOWING their disappointing 34-5 defeat against Cardiff Blues last weekend, Scarlets will be looking to get back on track when they welcome Dragons to Parc Y Scarlets on Saturday (Jan 5).

In a press conference held today, Thursday (Jan 3) head coach Wayne Pivac reviewed the heavy defeat against Cardiff and responded to the reaction of booing from the home crowd at the final whistle.

He said: “We know where we are at. We know the errors that we are making. We believe they are fixable. We are down on manpower and that has been well documented.

“Results are going all over the shop and we are finding after 5 loses that we are one point off the playoffs. We believe we will turn it around. It’s funny what a couple of weeks can do in sport.”

The head coach and prop Rob Evans also looked ahead to Saturday’s derby against Dragons who are visiting on the back of a big victory over Ospreys last weekend.

Rob Evans said: “No one is hurting more than the boys and everyone involved. We haven’t lost at home for two and a half years. It is a bit embarrassing for us and it hurts a lot.”

He also said that he was happy to stay and play in Wales and that he would not want to play for any other region.
