‘TRAMPS LIKE US, baby we were born to run’, that was the iconic chorus from Bruce Springsteen’s 1975 smash hit ‘Born to Run’, but it wasn’t the reason why runners had the words on their tops yesterday, Saturday (Mar 30).
Over 40 runners took part in a 40 mile ‘Ultra Run’ with monies raised going towards ‘The Brain Tumour Charity’ for teenager Alana.
The run took then across Llanelli and with glorious sunshine and blue skies it gave runners plenty of motivation to keep on keeping on.
One runner, Michael Thomas, was cheered on by his family holding a large sign reading ‘GO DADDY!’ as he came to the finishing spot at Llanelli Tennis Club.
The event was organised by Matt Rogerson.
