Pamper Night success and plans for Xmas panto at Felinfoel Family Centre

THE Felinfoel Family Centre held a fundraising ‘Pamper Night’ this evening, Friday, (Nov 10).

The event was a chance for the ladies to have their nails treated, hand’s and bodies massaged and even a mini yoga session. Around 18 people attended the event, which included a raffle.

Speaking to Llanelli Online, Mandy Bowness, the co-ordinator at the centre said:

‘The family centre is where parents and children can go to make friends and support each other. It is a place to learn new skills, and a place to attend workshops and courses.”

The centre, which has been running for over twelve years, is funded by the Big Lottery and Children in Need along with regular fundraising events. Asked about the impact it makes on the local area, Mandy said: ”I think it has a huge impact.

”It can be the centre-point of all the families in the community’s social lives, they know they can come here to a friendly face and be able to talk to someone.

”We can also have an impact on the community but holding community events”.

Mandy and the team are hoping to put on a pantomime this Christmas for the families of the community. You can visit the centres Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/Felinfoel-Family-Centre-280547115416684/
