‘One Great Day’ comes to Parc Trostre Retail Park

‘One Great Day’ comes to Parc Trostre Retail Park

PARC Trostre Retail Park is one of 140 shopping centres across the UK taking part in ‘One Great Day’ on 16th June 2018.

One Great Day is a series of family and community charity events being held throughout the month of June to raise money for GreatOrmond Street Hospital Charity, and other locally based children’s health charities.

Participating shopping centres will provide a special event or family fun day for local communities across the UK, whilst raising money for a number of great causes.

One Great Day was established in 2014 and has so far raised over £400,000 for 93 different children’s charities along with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. One Great Day now covers over 50 million square feet of retail space across the United Kingdom, from Folkestone to Aberdeen and nearly everywhere in-between!

Parc Trostre Retail Park will be raising money for Shine as well as Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.

On the day we will have hawks on site kindly provided by Hawksdrift Ltd.

The Llanelli Fire Brigade will be supporting the event with a tender – though they will still be on emergency stand-by throughout the event.

Dyfed-Powys Police will also be in attendance.

Our onsite team will be asking for donations via bucket collecting on the day to support these two really worthwhile charities.

The event kicks off from 10 am with the displays set up by 1130 and will end at 2 pm.

There will be balloons and treats for kids and a Pirate Treasure Trail on the day.

Dennis Cattell, centre manager of Parc Trostre Retail park, commented: “One Great Day is a highlight in our calendar, and it’s a great start to the summer. Hosting an event like this is a really fun way to give something back to support the wonderful work of Shine which supports children with Spina Bifida in the local area and Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity which supports patients and families from across the UK.”

One Great Day is an event that has fantastic energy and brings our community together while raising money for charity. Families in the area get to enjoy a fun day out – and it’s all for a good cause!”

Michal Noe, Trustee of One Great Day, said: “We are thrilled to have Parc Trostre as one of 140 shopping centres taking part this year, helping so many children’s health charities across the country. We are very grateful to CBRE, Montague Evans and Savills, our official corporate partners, for making this initiative possible.”
