THE Judge in the trial of what Dyfed-Powys Police have described as a ‘Serious Sophisticated Organised Crime Group’ has commended a number of the officers involved in ‘Operation Ulysses’ today, Tuesday (Mar 13) at Swansea Crown Court.
Speaking at the end of the trial, which has seen 28 members of the group handed down over 193 years in prison between them the judge commented that it was a ‘colossal and exceptional investigation’.
The Judge’s commendations were for: Detective Inspector Gareth Roberts and Detective Sergeant Rhys Jones as Senior Investigating Officers; Detective Constable Cheryl Wright as Officer in the case; Detective Constable Dylan Rowlands as disclosure officer; and Nathan John as the Serious and Organised Crime Team Analyst.
