WHAT do we do when we get a new member of the team at Llanelli Online?
Why we send them up into the sky to survey the patch of course. What better way of getting to know your way around than to see it all from the air?
Now thanks to our new reporter Iwan Lewis you too can take a plane ride over our wonderful town and see just what a beautiful area of the world we live in.
Iwan took to the skies on Sunday (Aug 13) from Swansea Airport with Cambrian Flying Club.
The flight lasted half an hour and saw Iwan taking in the Gower coastline and the Carmarthen Bay coastline.
If that weren’t enough Iwan was allowed to take the controls of the plane and fly for around 15 minutes.
We are having quite a job keeping his feet on the ground after his experience but have no fear. Iwan will be out and about walking those mean streets soon enough as he gets to grips with numerous issues you our readers ask us to report on.
