New Dock Stars Under 12s rugby team have beaten Whitland Under 12’s 43-12 to win the Scarlets Cup Final at Parc y Scarlets today, Sunday (May 14).
New Dock Stars coach Martin Thomas said: “It was a resounding win for our young team but Whitland put on a great show of rugby. Both teams were thrilled to run out at the stadium under the gaze of some of the Scarlets players.”
The youngsters have now won the Regional Finals, the Carmarthenshire cup and they have finished off a great season, unbeaten at home for two years.
Speaking about the atmosphere at the stadium Mr Thomas said: “Parc Y Scarlets was loud and supportive. The boys were thrilled to play at the stadium and the trophy was given by Wales centre, Scot Williams. Parents coaches and players were excited to have the opportunity to see the teams play at the stadium.
Congratulations to both teams from Llanelli Online.
