MUDIAD Meithrin will launch two exciting new projects as well as stage the annual Nursery Pageant during the Urdd National Eisteddfod held at Llanelwedd between 28 May and 2 June.
On Monday, 28 May at 2.00pm, Dewin and Doti, Mudiad Meithrin’s unique characters will launch four new books and an app at the Mudiad Meithrin stand on the Urdd Eisteddfod field. The author of all four books is Nia Ceidiog, who is well known in the early-years field through her work scriptwriting and producing ground-breaking children’s programmes such as Sam Tân (Fireman Sam), Dwylo’r Enfys and Y Diwrnod Mawr.
One of the highlights of the week, as always for Mudiad Meithrin, will be the Pasiant Meithrin (Nursery Pageant) when more than 200 children from Brecon and Radnorshire will perform on the Urdd National Eisteddfod Pavilion stage at 9.45am on Saturday 2 June.
Later on Saturday 2 June at 2.30pm Mudiad Meithrin welcomes the famous pirate Ben Dant on board to launch the annual Dewin and Doti Festival held at a number of venues across Wales between 11-28 June.
Iola Jones, Mudiad Meithrin’s Head of Communications and Partnerships Team said: “We are extremely excited by the various activities the Mudiad is offering on our stand on the Urdd Eisteddfod field this year. Launching the series of four new Dewin and Doti books with an app to accompany the books for the first time is very innovative for us as an organisation, and of course we are looking forward to enjoying the children’s performance in the Pasiant Meithrin.”
As usual, there will also be a host of events and activites held throughout each and every day at the Mudiad Meithrin stand, including face painting, playdough, song, story, and dance with Dewin, daily visits by S4C’s CYW presenters, and much more.
