Llanelli’s Member of the Senedd Lee Waters is asking for the public’s views this summer on how to make Llanelli a better place to live, work and relax.
A series of ideas will be posted on the MS’ Facebook page this month, with an opportunity for the public to discuss and suggest their own. These will include a repair hub in the town centre for people to fix broken items, a more active role for Parc Howard and Festival Fields, and boating tours of the local coastline from Burry Port Harbour.
With all ideas, big or small, being welcomed, Lee Waters MS said:
“I want to hear your thoughts and ideas for how we can make Llanelli better this summer. During the recent election campaign, I spoke to many of you who felt we weren’t making the most out of the assets we have in our area. Too often the narrative has been about decline and what we lack, but there is much here to be proud of, not least our stunning scenery. We have real potential if we can knock heads together and make things happen.”
He added:
“I’d love to hear your thoughts this summer, and I’ll be taking forward the most popular ideas with Carmarthenshire Council and other organisations.”
