Man arrested following ‘alleged’ assault in Llanelli Town Centre

DYFED-Powys Police arrested a man within 10 minutes of receiving a report of assault in Llanelli town centre this afternoon.

Dyfed-Powys Police officers were called to Market Place at 12.25pm following a report that a man had been assaulted by another man in the lane behind Upper Robinson Street.

Both victim and offender were white males in their late 20s or early 30s, and were seen running towards Market Street and into the market.

The offender was described as wearing a ripped t-shirt, and the victim’s face was and upper body was blood stained.

The victim sustained injuries to his face and neck and has been taken to hospital to be checked. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A suspect has been arrested, but officers would still like to speak with any witnesses who might be able to help the investigation. Please call 101 and quote ref 162 of today (June 14).
