Llanelli’s finest young gymnasts to represent Wales in Portugal

A host of talented young gymnasts from Llanelli are to represent Wales in the  Rhythmic Gymnastics competition being held in Portugal from the 9th to 13th of November 2018.

The girls competing are all aged between 6 and 12 years-of-age are

  • Grace Owen (under 8’s British champ)
  • Nia Roberts and Emily Cullen (both recently selected for the commonwealth squad)
  • Grace woods
  • Imogen Coslett
  • Skyla Simms
  • Mali Lane
  • Imogen Klyde
  • Elizabeth Popova
  • Lauren Carpenter

This will be the first year the academy have competed. The young talented ladies will be competing against other gymnasts from all over the world.

There is a lot of pressure on the girls from Llanelli, especially the youngest, Grace woods and Imogen Coslett who are only 6 and  7 as they represent their country.

The academy have had a very successful year to date and hope to return home with more medals.

As Llanelli Rhythmic gymnastics academy is run solely on volunteers, many of these gymnasts struggle to get sponsorship as they are so young. The club are we hoping to raise as much as possible for these talented  girls to compete in such a huge competition in Portugal.
