Hundreds of athletes took part in the Llanelli Sprint Triathlon today, Sunday (May 14). The event is organised by Noelwyn Daniels and it keeps getting better every year. Conditions were cold but sunny as the athletes set off early this morning to complete the 750m water swim, 30Km Bike ride and 5Km Run
It forms part of the Llanelli Multi-Sport Festival 2017.
The event has been a firm favourite with triathletes for a number of years and there have been some illustrious winners in the past including Liam Lloyd, Helen Jenkins, Mark Jenkins and Oliver Simon. This year’s event attracted over 400 athletes who enjoyed a superb event in near perfect weather conditions.
