LLANELLI Railway Station has benefited rom a national fund for improving railway stations and now has two brand new waiting rooms.
Bethan Jelfs the Customer Services Director for Arriva Trains Wales said: “It is wonderful to have these facilities. We are always encouraging and want more people to use the trains. This is part of the National Station’s Improvements Programme. There is similar investment going on in Bridgend and Neath.”
The waiting rooms were officially opened by Nia Griffith MP who said that she hoped that people would now use the facilities and more importantly be encouraged to visit Llanelli for all the local shops and visitor attractions.
Also in attendance were Lee Waters AM and the Mayor of Llanelli Cllr Jeff Edmunds and Deputy Mayor Louvain Roberts.
