Llanelli man gets 22 weeks prison for assault including biting his victim

A 36-year-old Llanelli man has been sent to prison for 22 weeks having been found guilty of four charges including harrassment, assault and breaking bail conditions.

Gary Douglas Evans of Brynmor Road Llanelli was found guilty of the offences at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (Sep 5).

The court heard that Evans had verbally abused one of his victims and assaulted and beaten his other victim including biting.

Evans had also failed to surrender at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court having been released on bail in criminal proceedings.

Evans had originally pleaded not guilty to three of the charges against him but changed his plea to guilty.

As well as a sentence of 22 weeks in prison Evans has to pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £115 and costs of £150.

Evans was also made subject of a restraining order and is not to seek, approach or communicate with the victims. The order will last until 05/09/2023.
