The rumours of hospital closures have been rife following the leaking of documents, which set out a variety of options for hospitals in West Wales including the closure of some. It has led to heated debates at the Welsh Assembly and urgent meetings between the Hywel Dda University Health Board and Assembly Ministers. Llanelli Online managed to pin down Llanelli’s AM Lee Waters and ask him what exactly is going on and if he could guarantee the people of Llanelli that the hospital services at Prince Phillip they have fought so hard to retain would be safe for future generations.
