A young man from Pontarddulais has been selected to represent Team GB at the first official World Special Needs Judo Championships in Cologne, Germany in October 2017. Kyle Jones, (18) is a member of the Pontarddulais Judo Club.
What is remarkable is that Kyle is the only Welsh man going over as the rest of the team of eight are from England and Scotland.
His mother Tabitha Jones said that she was immensely proud of Kyle’s selection and hopes that everyone will wish him well.
As we all know, it now costs a lot of money for any athlete to train and take part at an elite level. Kyle’s mother has set up a ‘go fund me’ page and has asked family and friends if they could donate towards his his judo dream.
