Primark today opened a new store at Llanelli Parc Trostre Retail Park, creating 189 jobs. The store was officially opened by the Worshipful Town Mayor, Councillor Jeff Edmunds. Today’s opening brings the number of Primark stores in the UK to 181 and 343 for the company.
The new store showcases two floors of fashion over 38,800 sq ft of retail space and features the latest trends in women’s, men’s and children’s fashions including footwear, accessories as well as lingerie, beauty and homeware. The store’s design and layout builds on Primark’s latest contemporary shop fit with 34 fitting rooms, 23 cash desks (including refunds and exchanges), access to free Wifi and two customer “recharge” seating areas for enjoyable and convenient shopping.
Employees in ‘back of house’ enjoy open spaces designed with modern features and comforts such as a ‘Recharge café’ with a fully equipped kitchen area and bright décor. This space is designed to feel like a home away from home for employees.
Simon Gibbs, Director of Sales, UK, Primark, said: “We are delighted to be joining this superb location in the Llanelli Parc Trostre Retail Park. This opening marks our eighth Primark store in Wales. We look forward to providing our amazing fashion at amazing prices to the people of Llanelli and the surrounding areas.”
The Worshipful Town Mayor, Councillor Jeff Edmunds, said: “I am greatly honoured to have been given the responsibility of officially opening the new Primark Store in Llanelli. I believe that Primark, and its considerable consumer base, will be a wonderful asset to the town’s retail business park and I wish Primark every success in its new venture.”
