Harassment leads to £200 fine for Bryn woman
A 29-year-old woman from Bryn in Llanelli has been fined £200 for harassing another woman.
The court heard that Between the 01/10/2020 and the 17/10/2020 at Llanelli, Emma Jayne Meredith of 89 Bryn Uchaf, Bryn, Llanelli pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of her victim and which she knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of her in that between the 01/10/2020 and the 17/10/2020 Meredith filmed shouted and was abusive towards her victim. Contrary to section 2(1) and (2) of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
Further; On 17/10/2020 at Llanelli Meredith used threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress thereby Contrary to section 5(1) and (6) of the Public Order Act 1986.
Meredith pleaded guilty to the charges.
A restraining order was made for the defendant in the following terms:

Meredith was fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
