IT isn’t often one comes across a German Celtic folk band on the streets of Llanelli.
That is just what happened today, Monday (Mar 26) as we strolled along on Murray Street.
The band (The Hoodie Crows) are playing the Loughor Boat Club this evening and will move on to the Kilkenny Cat on Wednesday for an open mic night.
The Hoodie Crows are on tour across Wales. They hail from Stuttgart and Frankfurt. Their influences are Irish, Welsh and Bretton folk including artists such as The Waterboys, Dan Ar Braz, Donnal Lunny and our very own Welsh band Fernhill.
They said that there was a great folk scene in Germany. Anyone wishing to see the band should head down to the Loughor Boat Club for 8pm this evening.
