The following people appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (Sept 8).

58-year-old Marc Edwards of Mill Close Newtown

The court heard an application for a domestic violence protection order. In accordance with section. The order was granted and Edwards was ordered to pay costs of £226.00 to Dyfed-Powys Police.

44-year-old Mr James David Beilken of Primrose Drive Haverfordwest

The court heard that on 08/03/2022 at Pembrokeshire Beilken drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A487 Simpson Cross,Pembrokeshire, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 37 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Edwards was fined £66.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00. His driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

22-year-old Mr Dafydd Davies of Lletyrr Bugail Llangwyryfon

The court heard that on 13/03/2022 at Ceredigion Davies used on a road, namely the A485 Llanfarian a motor vehicle, when the rear offside tyre wheel was fitted with a pneumatic tyre which had the ply or cord exposed Contrary to regulation 27(1)(e)) of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, section 41A of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Davies was fined £80.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

43-year-old Mr Paul Davies of Landscape House,Premier Way

The court heard that on 02/03/2022 at Davies Ceredigion drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the B4337 Cribyn, Ceredigion, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 41 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

32-year-old Buddy Georgia Evans of Eaton House Main Street Pembroke

The court heard that on 07/03/2022 at Pembrokeshire Evans drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A4139 The Green/Bush Hill ,Pembroke, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 35 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

40-year-old Mrs Melodie Cheryl Farmer of Maes-y-Deri Talybont Aberystwyth

The court heard that on 05/03/2022 at Ceredigion farmer drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A485 Llanilar, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of laser was 38 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Farmer was fined £40.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00. Her driving record endorsed with 3 points.

36-year-old Rachel Emily Hearne of Hillside Brooksgrove Lane Haverfordwest

The court heard that on 06/03/2022 at Cenarth drove a motor vehicle  on a road, namely the B4332 Cenarth Ceredigion, at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour in contravention of a Local traffic Order, namely Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council and Carmarthenshire County Council (A484 Cenarth Bridge & B4332 Cenarth, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire) (Imposition of 20 mph and 30mph speed limit order) 2011, Contrary to the above Local Traffic Order and sections 84 and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of laser was 28 miles per hour.

Hearne was fined £33.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00. Her driving was record endorsed with 3 points.

36-year-old Mr Kieran John Jones of Spring Gardens Shrewsbury

The court heard that on 27/02/2022 at Powys Jones permitted Mr Thomas Robert Heard to use on a road, namely the Car Park, Berriew Street, Welshpool, Powys, a motor vehicle, namely to which section 47 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 applied and as respects which no test certificate had been issued within the appropriate period Contrary to section 47(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Jones was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00.

42-year-old Miss Caroline Elizabeth Lee of Kavanagh Court Pembroke Dock

The court heard that on 07/03/2022 at Pembrokeshire Lee drove a motor vehicle, on a road, namely the A477 Llanteg,Pembrokeshire , subject of a local traffic order, namely the A477 Trunk Road (Llan-teg, Pembrokeshire) (40mph and 50mph speed limits) Order 2004, at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour Contrary to the above local traffic order and sections 84 and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 50 miles per hour.

Lee was fined £40.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00. Her driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

32-year-old Mr Cynan Dafydd Llwyd of Kent Street Grangetown Cardiff

The court heard that on 13/03/2022 at Ceredigion Llwyd drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A4120 Capel Seion. Aberystwyth Ceredigion, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of laser was 43 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

33-year-old Miss Summerr Morgan of Maes Penrhyn Canal Road Four Crosses

The court heard that on 04/03/2022 at Powys drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the B4393 Crew Green, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

30-year-old Mr Joshua James Morris of Granby Close Llanelli

The court heard that on 10/04/2022 at Carmarthenshire drove a motor vehicle, on a road, namely Machynys, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire. otherwise than in accordance with a licence authorising you to drive a motor vehicle of that class. Contrary to section 87(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Further on 10/04/2022 the defendant drove on Llanelli, Llanelli Carmarthenshire, otherwise than in accordance with a licence for that class of motor vehicle in that driver is a provisional licence holder not supervised by qualified driver and not displaying L Plates an on 10/04/2022 at Carmarthenshire used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely Machynys, Llanelli, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Morris was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 8 points.

22-year-old Miss Faye Stratford of South Terrace Pembroke

The court heard that on 20/04/2022 at Pembrokeshire Stratford drove a motor vehicle, on a road, namely the A477 Llanteg, Narberth Pembrokeshire,, subject of a local traffic order, namely the A477 Trunk Road (Llan-teg, Pembrokeshire) (40mph and 50mph speed limits) Order 2004, at a
speed exceeding 40 miles per hour Contrary to the above local traffic order and sections 84 and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of Speed calculation was 67 miles per hour.

Stratford was fined £350.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £35.00 and costs of £90.00. Her driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

20-year-old Mr Austin O’Toole of Queen Elizabeth Avenue Neyland

The court heard that on 02/02/2022 at Pembrokeshire O’Toole used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely the A4076 Dredgemans Hill, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of
third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

O’Toole was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and costs of £90.00. He was disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 6 month(s).
