The following people appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on 31/10/2022

24-year-old Adam Kenneth Strelley of Dafen

The court heard that Strelley failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Llanelli Magistrates Court on 14/03/2022 by failing to attend an unpaid work requirement between 24/09/2022 and 01/10/2022.

A new community order was made where-in the defendant must comply with the
following requirements by 30/10/2023: To comply with any instructions of the responsible officer to attend appointments or to participate in any activity as required by the responsible officer up to a maximum of 15 days. He has been ordered to carry out unpaid work for 60 hours within the next twelve months. This work will be supervised by the responsible officer.

31-year-old Thomas Williams of Carmarthen

The court heard that Williams failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Llanelli Magistrates Court on 26/05/2022 by failing to attend office appointments Between late September and early October. He admitted the breach and was fined £50 and ordered to pay costs of £60.

27-year-old Matthew Pearce of Pontyberem

The court heard that on 17/03/2022 Pearce used a motor vehicle on a road, or other public place when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks. 

Pearce was fined £120.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £34.00 to fund victim services and to pay costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points. His guilty plea was taken into account when the sentence was imposed.

19-year-old Leighton Price of Llanelli

The court heard that on 28/10/2022, Price was served with a domestic violence protection notice in accordance with section 27 Crime and Security Act 2010.

The domestic violence protection order was made for 28 days for the protection of his victim.
Price has been ordered to pay costs of £226.00 to Dyfed-Powys Police.
