The following appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (Aug 18).

35-year-old Adam Joseph Brookes of Beeches Way

The court heard that on 27/05/2022 at Safety Camera Unit,Pontypridd, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed-Powys Police, Brookes failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle,who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Brookes was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

43-year-old Paul Christopher Cobb of Vaisey Field Whitminster

The court heard that on 25/02/2022 at Carmarthenshire Cobbdrove a motor vehicle on a dual carriageway road, namely the A48 Pensarn, Carmarthenshire, at a speed exceeding 70 miles per hour Contrary to article 2(c) of the 70 Miles Per Hour, 60 Miles Per Hour and 50 Miles Per Hour (Temporary Speed Limit) Order 1977, section 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The speed recorded by means of Laser was 83 mph.

Cobb was fined £216.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

49-year-old Mrs Julia Fuxman of Red House Cottage

The court heard that on 31/03/2022 at Safety Camera Unit,Pontypridd, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed-Powys Police, Fuxman failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Fuxman was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and costs of £90.00 His Driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

22 -year-old Miss Elin Goffin of Town Meadow Marloes

The court heard that on 28/01/2022 at Haverfordwest used on a road, namely Merlins Hill, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, a motor vehicle to which section 47 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 applied and as respects which no test certificate had been issued within the appropriate period Contrary to section 47(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Goffin was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.

39-year-old Robert David Jackson of Spring Gardens Spalding

The court heard that on 12/02/2022 at Powys Jackson drove a motor vehicle on a restricted road, namely the A470 Llyswen, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The speed recorded by means of Laser was 44 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Jackson was fined £276.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00.

His driving record was endorsed with 4 points.

48-year-old Mr Gwyn James of Park View West Street

The court heard that on 12/02/2022 at Pembrokeshire James drove a motor vehicle on a restricted road, namely Johnston, Pembrokeshire, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The speed recorded by means of Laser was 35 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

James was fined £119.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and costs of £90.00.

His driving record was endorsed with 3 points.
