Reports are coming in of a fire at the St Elli Centre in Llanelli. A bystander told us that a small fire had broken out within the centre and that the centre had been evacuated. We will bring you more information as it comes in.
Mid and West Wale Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed that they attended a call on Tuesday, 08/08/2017 at 12:29pm, firefighters from Llanelli were called to a fire at a retail shop within a shopping centre in Llanelli.
The fire was confined to a light fitting, in the ceiling of the premises and was extinguished prior to the arrival of the Fire Service.
Firefighters isolated the main electricity supply to the premises and conducted a full inspection of the roof, using a thermal imaging camera and a short extension ladder.
The Fire Service left the incident at 12:59pm.
