Fatality in RTC on B4312 Llansteffan to Johnstown Rd

The accident took place somewhere along the B4312

Dyfed-Powys Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on the B4312 on Tuesday (Aug 29) which resulted in the death of a 71-year-old man.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a serious road traffic collision, involving two cars, on the B4312 between Johnstown and Llansteffan, at 10:15pm yesterday [Tuesday 29 August 2017].

“A maroon Rover 400 and a red Audi A1 collided head-on. Tragically a 79-year-old man died. Next of kin and H.M. Coroner are aware.

“Ambulance attended the scene. The two women travelling in the Audi were taken to hospital, suffering broken bones and a number of minor injuries.

“The road was closed and re-opened at 6am today [Wednesday 30 August 2017].

 

“Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information that could help officers with their investigation, is asked to call Carmarthenshire Roads Policing Unit by calling 101.
