Family tribute to victim of fatal RTC on M4 

SOUTH Wales Police have issued a statement in connection with a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the M4 between junction 45 and 46 on Thursday (Jan 25) The family of the victim have also paid an emotional tribute.

South Wales Police said: “At approximately 19:10 hours on Thursday 25th January 2018, a single vehicle road traffic collision occurred involving a Ford KA on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 motorway between junction 46 Llangyfelach and 45 Ynysforgan.

“The front seat passenger, Mrs Sarah Evans, 58, who is from the Llanelli area sustained fatal injuries.

“The driver of the vehicle was conveyed to Morriston hospital for treatment.

“Officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision or to the manner of driving of the Ford KA prior to the collision.

“Any witnesses are asked to contact 101 quoting occurrence reference 1800030617.

“South Wales Police would also like to thank motorists in the area at the time for their patience and understanding.”

The family issued the following statement in tribute to Mrs Evans:

Mrs Evans was a loving wife to Steve and mother to Rachel. She lived and loved life to the full. In particular her Tuesday ladies darts team at the Turn style public house in Llanelli.

Her husband Steve says that she will be sorely missed by her family and circle of many friends. They would also like to thank the off duty police officer and lorry driver for their help at the time of this tragic incident.”
