THE Emergency Services were called out to a house fire on Heol Llanelli in Pontyates today, Sunday (Jul 22).
A bystander told Llanelli Online that the fire had begun at approximately 7pm although that has not yet been confirmed by Mid and West Wales Fire and rescue Service.
There were no reports of anyone having been injured.
The fire appears to have taken hold in a bedroom in the two storey cottage.
Two fire crews attended the scene along with a number of police officers who controlled the traffic while the incident was being dealt with.
A temporary diversion was put in place and the road reopened at approximately 8.30pm.
