Emergency services attend incident at Trostre Recycling Centre

Closed until further notice: Recycling Centre in Llanelli

EMERGENCY services responded to a road traffic accident on the outside of the Llanelli Recycling Centre in Trostre this afternoon, Wednesday (June 20).

A female pedestrian is reported to have been hit by a vehicle and is in hospital with serious injuries.

There are road closures and delays at North Avenue, Trostre Industrial Park.

The Household Waste Recycling Centre at Trostre is also currently closed as Police deal with the incident at the site.

A number of Police vehicles and an Ambulance were reported to be at the scene.

The Collision Investigation unit are at the scene and the location will be closed until further notice.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police were called to Trostre Industrial Park at 2.12pm following a report of a collision.

“It is understood that a woman was injured when a vehicle collided with her car, which she was standing next to.

“She has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

“North Avenue is currently closed, and the recycling centre is expected to remain closed for the rest of the day. The ambulance service is also in attendance, and the road leading to the recycling centre is currently closed.”
