A survey is currently open to measure public opinion on the use of CCTV in public spaces in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys.
It is being used to gauge responses to the planned re-instatement of a CCTV network by Dyfed-Powys Police.
The project is a key commitment from the Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn.
Information gleaned from the survey will be used by the CCTV Project Team to influence policy on how CCTV will be used by the force for crime prevention and crime investigation purposes.
CCTV Project Board Chair, Chief Superintendent Steve Cockwell, said: “A modern CCTV infrastructure that will include a central monitoring function to improve the safety of our towns and communities is going to be installed very soon.
“We are seeking your views in the communities of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys on the re-introduction of CCTV in the force area.”
The survey will close on midnight on Tuesday, July 10, 2018.
