DAFEN Ladies football team have reached the WWWGL Ladies Cup- Semi FinalCup Final having beaten Camrose in the semi final today, Sunday (Apr 23). Camrose opened the scoring and looked like they might cause an upset at Dafen Park, the home of the Bluebirds since 1925.
It did not take long for the Dafen ladies to get back on an even footing before stepping on the gas and punishing Camrose with some cracking goals. Camrose gave a passionate and worthy account of themselves but the pace and passing from the Dafen ladies was too much for them.
The game was well supported and a large crowd enjoyed a very entertaining game of football. Camrose will be disappointed that they could not keep the ball down enough to capitalise on some great football. Dafen ladies kept themselves in the Camrose half and controlled the game. Dafen ladies it was who ran out convincing winners by 4 goals to 1 and take their place in the WWWGL Cup Final and they will play Briton Ferry Reserves.
