RUGBY player Jonathan Davies has been named Sports Personality of the Year at this year’s award ceremony.
The Scarlets and Wales centre from Bancyfelin was amongst a host of talented sportsmen and women from across the county who were shortlisted for this year’s Carmarthenshire Sports Personality Awards.
Winners from across the county were honoured for their achievements at Ffrwnes Theatre on Friday night.
The event, organised by Carmarthenshire County Council’s sport and leisure team, recognises and rewards people of all ages and abilities who contribute to sport in Carmarthenshire.
Executive board member for culture, sport and tourism, Cllr Peter Hughes Griffiths, said: “This was an excellent evening, celebrating the huge amount of sporting talent that we have in the county.
