CARMARTHENSHIRE’S Local Development Plan, which sets out the authority’s policies and proposals for the future development of land use, is to be reviewed.
Members agreed to the review at Wednesday’s Full Council meeting, one of the key recommendations of an annual monitoring report of the LDP.
The review will consider and address the shortfall in available housing land supply, and any necessary interventions, as well as population projections.
The review will be carried out by a panel of councillors and will set out any changes required.
Cllr Mair Stephens, executive board member responsible for strategic planning, said that the annual monitoring report will first be submitted to the Welsh Government and will also be an opportunity for informal consultation with anyone who wishes to have their say about its contents.
The full report is available on the council’s website, www.carmarthenshire.gov.wales
The Local Development Plan review advisory panel meets for the first time on November 9.
